That was what Marianne was for me , a sad twenty something, when we met some 37 years ago. Without need of too many words, with astounding warmth and generosity she took me into her home and heart. I have such fond memories of gardening for hours with Marianne, watching her balance the "magic check book", being able be with her family for Christmas morning - teaching me another way to celebrate, with that warmth and generosity again, and abandon. So much more to say, so much lost but only because there was so much gained....
